Next Guildford Community Lottery draw on Sat 11 April at 8PM
The draw is in 3 days 13 hours 23 minutes!
George Abbot School Opportunities Fund provides those students who need it with support to to reach their full potential.
Our partnership with the Guildford Community Lottery will focus specifically on our most vulnerable students, many of whom are young carers (caring for an adult with illness or disabilty or caring for their own siblings), other students may be battling their own mental health issues or are living in challenging financial circumstances.
Many of these students fail to reach their academic potential and particularly the young carers can find that the additional responsibilities at home can leave them feeling isolated, frustrated and anxious. They have little free time and they may experience bullying. We aim to provide them with the support they need whether that's the chance to meet with other young carers; outings; IT or other equipment to support educational needs or additional (non statutory) support in school.
Everyone who takes a chance on a lottery ticket will be providing a chance to one of our more vulnerable students to beat the odds.
Thank you for your support and good luck.
