Next Guildford Community Lottery draw on Sat 25 January at 8PM
The draw is in 2 days 14 hours 21 minutes!
George Abbot School Opportunities Fund provides those students who need it with support to to reach their full potential.
Our partnership with the Guildford Community Lottery will focus specifically on the needs of our young carers. We have at least 80 young carers at George Abbot School who are helping to look after a relative with a disability, illness, mental health condition, or drug or alcohol problem.
Some fail to reach their academic potential and the additional responsibilities at home can leave them feeling isolated, frustrated and anxious. They have little free time and they may experience bullying. We aim to provide them with the support they need whether that's the chance to meet with other young carers; outings; IT or other equipment to support educational needs or additional (non statutory) support in school.
Everyone who takes a chance on a lottery ticket will be providing a chance to one of our young carers to beat the odds.
Thank you for your support and good luck.
